There's a lot here done differently than you might expect, which is not to say that things are bad, because they aren't. That being said, Heavy Gear II resembles it's more famous pseudo-sibling MechWarrior 3 only in surface issues. What to do? Naturally, find another title that features mechanical constructions piloted by human beings. Activision, in losing the MechWarrior license, found a huge hole in their own product list.
